What You Need To Know To Sell Your Property

We have a Closing Date!  Now What?

One week before call all utility companies, gas, electric and telephone, to let them know when to turn off your service.

If you have public water I will schedule the water department to go out to the property and do a final water reading a few days before.

If there were any repairs that were negotiated make sure they are completed.  We will be  scheduling a time for the buyer to do a final walk through of the property if they would like, usually just before closing.

On the day of closing make sure you bring your drivers license and keys for the property.  It is always a good idea to bring a check book with you in case there are any final adjustments.  If you are selling income property you may need to bring a check for prorated rents, security deposits and last months rents.

The most important thing is to make sure you know where and when the closing will be!

See you there!

Karen
